What are Asset Management Companies (AMCs)?
Asset Management Companies (AMCs) are entities that manage investments on behalf of investors and aim to deliver returns. These companies offer various investment products, including Mutual Fund schemes. The products and services offered by AMCs are regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the capital markets regulator in India.
The primary function of an AMC is to help investors achieve their wealth goals. Investors can invest in Mutual Fund (MF) scheme units, which are managed by experienced investment teams hired by the AMC. Some investors purchase Mutual Fund schemes directly through the AMC's website or other authorized platforms, while others seek the help of licensed professional advisors.
